SERC 2022 Announcements

New Members

Please welcome our new SERC Steering Committee members:

  • Karen Babb, CHI Memorial PGY1 RPD, 2024 Chairperson
  • Katelyn Jimison, PGY2 Critical Care Resident, Vidant Medical Center
  • Arrington Mason-Callaway, PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership, Wellstar Cobb Hospital

Important Dates

The 53rd Annual Southeastern Residency Conference will be held virtually. This was a very important and difficult decision for the committee as we want residents to have the best experience possible. It is our hope that next year we will be back in-person.

NEW and IMPROVED VIRTUAL FORMAT FOR 2022!  We listened to your feedback from the 2021 conference and will have all presentations “live” with question and answer (Q&A) immediately following. We believe this format would mimic the in-person experience more closely and increase audience engagement. Below are important dates to keep in mind.

  • Registration opens Tuesday, February 1st
  • Abstract deadline is Tuesday, March 1st
  • SERC 2022 live presentations will be scheduled on April 21st & 22nd
    • Presentations WILL NOT be pre-recorded this year. Presentations will be on camera at the scheduled times.
    • The conference will be treated the way it was before the pandemic. We encourage you to allow yourself and your residents time away from work to attend the conference. Video capabilities will be necessary as we expect to see and hear you the same way we would if we were in-person.

More information on how to register and submit abstracts will be sent out before registration opens.
