Sonia Amin Thomas, born and raised in the Midwest (Bloomington, Illinois) now considers herself a true Georgian native after moving to Alpharetta, GA in middle school. She received her PharmD from South University in Savannah, GA in 2010 after completing her undergraduate course work at the University of Georgia in Athens. She then went on to complete her PGY1 residency in Columbus, GA and PGY2 oncology residency in Detroit, MI before she became a board certified oncology pharmacist. She then began her career in academia at PCOM School of Pharmacy in Suwanee in 2012 and her role as a clinical oncology specialist at NGOC at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital. It was during the pandemic that her role expanded and she discovered how to incorporate her personal lifelong health/fitness/nutrition passion into become an integrative nutrition health coach and obtaining certifications in pharmacogenomics, functional medicine, integrative oncology and began pursuing personalized medicine. She recently has taken on a leadership role as vice chair and obtained full professorship and tenure after 13 years in academia. She’s had multiple publications and presentations within the oncology field including her most recent presentation abroad in Vienna, Austria and is now pursuing combining her passions of education, oncology and preventive medicine. For the past 11 years, Sonia lives in Brookhaven, GA married to her college sweetheart (Go Dawgs!) for 11 years their custom built dream home that they
